Lessons with Lainey

Private In-Home Violin Lessons in and around Santa Clarita

In addition to performing, Lainey is an accomplished music teacher with a thriving studio of talented students of all ages and musical stages. Above all, Lainey believes in teaching the art and passion for violin playing and has developed a unique curriculum to creatively embrace every student’s individual strengths and weaknesses.

What Will You Learn?

As a classically-trained violinist, Lainey believes that true proficiency of the instrument is best attained through an in-depth study of classical music. Part of her curriculum includes the the world-famous Suzuki Violin School; a 10-book series that uses specific pieces of classical music to teach students the essential building-blocks of technique.

Lainey also believes strongly that exposure to many different genres of music not only enhances musicianship skills, but is absolutely essential to a student’s unique creative development. Therefore, she incorporates folk, rock, pop, jazz, improvisational skills, and any other genre of music that a student may express interest in.
